Bright lights, that high pitched squawk of sneakers on the gym floor, and thundering crowds – March Madness is here! For basketball fans, this is the real deal. Whether you are cheering for your alma mater or are simply devoted to a team, honor and pride hang on the line here, and we take it seriously. Unfortunately, we won’t all get to attend a tournament game. In reality, most of us will watch at home, with friends, or at a restaurant or bar. If you are the one hosting the game, be sure that your home is March Madness ready. Of course that will include a great set up, drink and food, and the very best light. No great sporting event is complete without great lighting. Don’t let your home be any different.
Be sure your outdoor living space are bright and ready when guests arrive to watch the game.
Residential outdoor lighting is certainly not the super bright stuff of sports arenas and fields. However, it functions in ways that are similar by allowing clear visibility for those using the space, helping spectators see what is important, and keeping everyone safe. I rather doubt any sports injuries have occurred in college or professional matches because of a lack of light. Outdoor lighting makes movement within your spaces safer whether that is the driveway, patio, deck, or fire pit area. Collisions are less likely, fewer drinks are spilled, and faceplants due to a missed step are avoided. All of this is a must when family and friends are coming and going.
A beautifully lit exterior sets the tone for a great night.
Outdoor lighting also helps set a tone of welcome and fun. For centuries, light has drawn people together. As a result, we associate it with good times and hospitality. A well-lit, home exterior not only catches eyes as people pass, but it also draws your guests in. They feel good about coming over, even if they can’t be sure why. From driveways to architecture to landscape, various outdoor lighting types work together to let the world know your home is the place to be for festivities and friends. It creates the electric atmosphere you expect from a great event.
So make sure your arena is March Madness ready. Call Outdoor Lighting Perspectives of Kansas City. We can ensure your outdoor spaces are ready to host the big game and that the front of your home shining. Then you can get back to what’s important – cheering on your team.
